Wilderness Wildflower Hike

Enjoy many beautiful spring wildflowers along the Axsom Trail located within the Charles C. Deam Wilderness Area. There are no restroom facilities at this location, so please come prepared to practice Leave No Trace principles and “dispose of waste properly”. Bring a daypack with snacks and drinks and wear rugged footwear for this adventurous hike. Meet at the Grubb Ridge Parking lot and be prepared for a rugged 3-mile hike. Directions to Grubb Ridge Parking: Take State Route 446 south from State Route 46 out of Bloomington and turn left (east) on Hunter Creek Rd. Stay on this until you hit Tower Ridge Road, turn left (west) follow Tower Ridge road approximately one mile until you see the Grubb Ridge Parking area (on both sides of the road).
