North Zone Wilderness Areas & Trails

On the North Zone of the Ottawa National Forest, we are lucky to have two designated Wilderness Areas where visitors can enjoy a more primitive kind of recreation opportunity. Aaron Woof and Joseph Miller, both Wilderness/Trails Technicians on the Ottawa, will give an overview of the wilderness trail opportunities that await in the Sturgeon River Gorge and McCormick Wilderness Areas by highlighting trail length, difficulty, and points of interest along the way.
