Superior National Forest implements seasonal office hours effective Oct. 1

Duluth, Minnesota. September 29, 2025 – The Superior National Forest’s five district ranger offices will operate Tuesday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT beginning Oct. 1, 2025, through April 30, 2026. The Supervisor’s Office in Duluth will be open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT.

In addition, the forest Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness quota season ends September 30 and transitions to self-issue permitting October 1. Residents who purchased forest product permits such as gravel, wood and boughs over the past two years will receive a mailer with additional information and can coordinate with the appropriate office.
