Partnerships
The White Mountain National Forest is a unique and strikingly beautiful landscape with a tradition of strong public support, volunteerism and partnership. New Englanders love the White Mountains, support the philosophy of multiple use, and are emotionally attached to this special place.
The Forest Supervisor and forest personnel interact continuously with local, state, and prominent national leaders on forest issues and National Forest management. Nationally significant partners to the Forest Service such as the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests and the Appalachian Mountain Club originate from the White Mountain National Forest and are active participants in forest management.
