Coghill Lake Cabin
The cabin is a 16x16-foot A-frame with a main floor and a sleeping loft. It accommodates up to six guests and comes equipped with wooden bunks, a kerosene heating stove, a table, benches and an outhouse with a pit toilet.
No water, electricity or fuel for the heater is provided. Guests are responsible for bringing their own drinking water, kerosene for heater (typically ~1 gallon/ day is sufficient), a cooking stove, flashlights or lanterns, bedding, mattresses, toilet paper, garbage bags, cookware, dishes and utensils.

Coghill Lake Cabin offers opportunities for year-round rest and recreation near College Fiord in Prince William Sound. The cabin is nestled on a lagoon on the southwest shore of the beautiful Coghill Lake, which is known for its excellent salmon fishing.
Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year-round. Check-in/Check-out time is 12pm.
A stay at the Coghill Lake Cabin is $60/night. A non-refundable service fee will be added to each reservation by Recreation.gov.

Directions
This remote site can be accessed by floatplane, typically a 50-minute flight from Anchorage or an hour from Cordova. Hiking options include reaching the Cabin via a very rugged three-mile trail starting from Coghill Bay (east side of Port Wells).

Visitors can fish at the Coghill Cabin for salmon during the open seasons. Visit the Alaska Department of Fish & Game's website to review fishing regulations and purchase a license.
Salmon fish counts are monitored throughout Alaska and determine the daily limits for sport, commercial and subsistence fishing. Anyone fishing for salmon should be aware that the limits are subject to change or restriction depending on the fish count.
Emergency orders, often restricting the harvest of king salmon, can be issued at any time and have the same force and effect as law. Be sure to check the ADF&G's Emergency Order and Press Releases page prior to fishing.
Day Hikes Info
If you are feeling adventurous, take a hike to Port Wells. There is a three-mile, rugged, primitive trail often impeded by brush. Difficulty level: High.
