The virtual town hall will be March 25th at 5:30 p.m., offering an overview of the newly released information.

“We want to help folks understand what’s included in the content and how it fits into the overall revision process,” said Erin Mathews, Tongass Plan Revision Coordinator. “There’s a lot in there, from desired conditions and goals to potential management areas.”

Call-in information and the in-person workshop schedule is available on the Plan Revision Website under Public Engagements, Online Opportunities.

Additional comment opportunities will open when the draft plan and draft environmental impact statement are released later this year.

The Forest Service will also release the proposed Species of Conservation Concern (SCC) Report and associated Proposed SCC List March 23rd. A report summarizing scientific assessments and expert input will be posted to the SCC webpage.
