Passes may be purchased at the Visitor Center from Discovery Southeast in the bookstore, or from our vending machines in the parking lots.

Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center Fees & Passes

Daily Fee - $5
Season Pass - $15
Visitors 15 and under are free.

Visitors 16 years and older will need a pass to access the following areas:

• the Pavillion
• Photo Point Trail
• Steep Creek
• Restrooms
• Bus Shelter
• The visitor center

America the Beautiful Interagency Passes:

The Annual Pass, Senior Pass, Access Pass, Military Pass and Volunteer Pass are accepted, granting free admission for pass-holder and three group members. Learn more about all America the Beautiful Passes here.

The following America the Beautiful Interagency Passes are available at the center or on-line at the USGS Store. Military available for free with proper identification (CAC Card or DD Form 1173).

• Annual Pass - $80 annual pass to federal parks, forests, refuges and public lands.
• Senior Pass - $80 lifetime pass for anyone 62 and older - more information on pass fees here
• Access Pass - Free lifetime pass for anyone with a permanent disability.
• Military Pass - Free annual pass for members of the U.S. military.

All Golden Age and Golden Access Passes will be honored according to the provisions of the pass.

• Nugget Falls Trail
• East Glacier Trail
• Powerline Trail
• Moraine Ecology Trail
• Trail of Time
• Dredge Lakes - all trails
• West Glacier area - all trails
• Parking area
