Finland = Annual forest area, volume increments, growing stock, harvested stem volume, harvested residues, and total decrement for: total forest land and productive forest land in Finland. Some measurements are provided for formally protected areas.
Norway = Annual forest area, volume increments, growing stock, harvested stem volume, harvested residues, and total decrement for: total forest land and productive forest land in Norway. Only a few estimates of area are proided for formally protected areas in 2020.
Sweden = Annual forest area, volume increments, growing stock, harvested stem volume, harvested residues, and total decrement for: total forest land and productive forest land in Sweden. Also included are annual total decrement and national average for all skogsmark for protected areas.
All_Forest_Land = Annual forest land data from the Finland, Sweden, and Norway worksheets in addition to combined totals for all three locations.

Table 2 Stock = Estimated carbon stocks by biome and country or region, and year or period. The variables include stocks for total living biomass, deadwood, litter, soil, total stock, uncertainties and carbon density. These data were used for Extended Data Table 2 in Pan et al. (2024).
Table 3 Stock Change = Estimated annual net change in carbon stock by biome and country or region, and year or period. The variables include carbon stock changes in living biomass, deadwood, litter, soil, harvested wood product, net stock change, uncertainties, and stock change per area. These data were used for Extended Data Table 3 in Pan et al. (2024).
Table 4 Afforest = Estimated annual net change in carbon stock from afforestation by decade, biome, and country or region outside tropical regions. The values were added to the estimates in Table 3 for boreal and temperate biomes.
