The campground sits on a large creek off the Allegheny Reservoir, offering countless water activities. Visitors enjoy a grassy beach for swimming and relaxing, a boat ramp and dock allow visitors to enjoy the vast lake for boating and fishing. Several hiking trails also snake around the campground and along the creek and reservoir.

The swimming beach and picnic area have ample parking. The day use area also includes a two-lane concrete plank boat launch with a 130 foot courtesy dock for loading and unloading only.

Operational Hours: Quiet hours 10:00 pm to 6:00 am; Boat Launch open 24 hours
Reservations: Reservations are accepted for some sites. First come, first served sites are also available. Reservation -
  • Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance of visit.
  • Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance of visit.
  • Go to: Recreation.gov or call 1-877-444-6777 to make a reservation.
Reservations needed from May 27 to Sept. 3.
Fees Fees:
  • Daily camping fee - electric hookup $21.00/site
  • Daily camping fee - waterfront - $21.00/site;
  • Daily camping fee - electric/water/sewage hookup - $25.00/site
  • Daily camping fee - no hookups - $19.00/site
  • Vehicle daily launching/swimming fee - $5.00/
  • Vehicle season launching/swimming pass - $55.00

Directions:

From downtown Warren

  • Travel south on Route 6/Crescent Park Drive for 2 miles.
  • Turn left/east onto Route 59.
  • Travel east on Route 59 for 10 miles.
  • Turn right onto Longhouse National Scenic Byway.
  • Travel on Longhouse National Scenic Byway for 9.7 mile.
  • Turn left onto Kiasutha Campground Road.

Campground Camping

There are 96 family campsites, each containing a picnic table, fire ring, and tent pad. Paved loop roads and spurs provide firm support for recreational vehicles and trailers. Waterfront sites are available. The large, grassy, swimming beach and picnic area can accommodate 900 people. The day use area also includes a children's playground.

Other amenities include:

  • picnic area w/ tables and grills
