Campground Camping
There are 96 family campsites, each containing a picnic table, fire ring, and tent pad. Paved loop roads and spurs provide firm support for recreational vehicles and trailers. Waterfront sites are available. The large, grassy, swimming beach and picnic area can accommodate 900 people. The day use area also includes a children's playground.

Viewing Wildlife
Over 70 species of game and non-game fish live in the Allegheny National Forest. Over 300 species of mammals, including raccoon, gray squirrel, snowshoe hare, red and gray fox, beaver, mink, and muskrat as well as game species suck as white-tailed deer, black bear and wild turkey.

When you see wildlife, please remember:
- never feed wildlife
- don't interfere with mating, predation or other natural behaviors.
- keep a respectful distance
- preserve habitat by following "leave no trace" principles.

Boating - Motorized
The day use area includes a two-lane concrete plank boat launch with a 130 foot courtesy dock (load and unload only)

- No horsepower limit for motorized boats
- 12,080 surface acres at summer pool
- average width is 3/8 of a mile
- length is about 29 miles
- average depth is 48 feet
- 8 boat launches (including the marina).
Rules for use of the reservoir come from 3 different jurisdictions; the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Seneca Nation of Indians and New York State. There are reciprocal boating agreements. Rules may very according to which portion of the reservoir you boat in.
