Bear Canyon Loop Trail

The Bear Canyon Loop Trail is 0.5 miles long. It begins at Mt. Baldy Trail-mp.6 and ends at Mt. Baldy Trail-mp.9. The trail is open for the following uses: Hiking

The seven miles between Smith Saddle and the West National Bike Trail can be very challenging. The river follows a stream bed that presents many stream crossings. The trail can be intermittent in nature due to changing stream conditions. The 3.2 mile segment between Valley of the Moon and Smith Saddle is well established and maintained. This segment of trail is also equestrian friendly with plenty of good parking and hitching post at the Saddle.
