Overview of Site: 

Hoegees Trail Camp can be found by starting at the Chantry Flat Picnic Area and hiking along the Winter Creek Trail. The 2.2-mile shaded hike offers a wonderful view of lush pines, oaks, and other vegetation. Once you make it to Hoegees, you'll have the option to continue onto the Upper Winter Creek trail for a 4.85-mile loop with 1,000 feet of elevation gain. Another option is to connect to the Gabrielino Trail and continue on to Mt. Wilson. 

Amenities: 13 hike-in campsites- picnic tables and campfire rings/klamath stoves, no toilet facilities, no trash receptacles, no piped water available. Seasonal stream water (treat before using). However, water flow may be low or non-existent due to reduced rainfall. Please bring enough water for cooking, cleaning, drinking, and extinguishing campfires. Pack In-Pack Out.

Hiking: Access to the Upper Winter Creek Trail and the Gabrielino National Recreation Trail

Directions:

From Interstate 210 in Arcadia, exit at Santa Anita Ave. and go north 6 miles to the Chantry Flat Picnic Area. Hike in approximately 2 miles, via the Upper Winter Creek Trail.
