Know Fire & Other Restrictions Before You Go! These conditions can affect your entire trip. For example, Extreme and Critical fire use restrictions mean no campfires and no portable cooking systems/stoves. Bring cold food and no S'mores. 

Be Bear Aware! Bear safety is critical, for the safety of your group and/or you, as well as our bears. Help keep bears wild by following these tips. 

NOTE: Gate may be closed to vehicular traffic due to fire danger levels or debris on road due to recent rain/flooding. If closed, plan to hike in or bike in approximately 3 miles to the campground.  

Overview of Site

Elevation: 1,900-feet in elevation

Amenities: Open when weather and road conditions allow. Walk in to campsite (25-150 feet from parking area). Six campsites. Picnic tables and campfire rings, vault toilets, no water available. Seasonal stream water may be available (treat before using). However, water flow may be low or non-existent due to reduced rainfall.

Hiking: Just a short hike to the 50' Millard Falls  

Fees: Camping - Adventure Pass/America the Beautiful Pass required. Campsites are first-come - first-served. No reserving or holding of campsites allowed.

Millard Campground may occasionally be closed due to bear activity. Be Bear Aware!

Directions:

Location: From Interstate 210 in Pasadena, exit Lake Ave. and go north to Loma Alta Dr. Turn west (left) on Loma Alta and drive to Chaney Trail Drive (flashing yellow light). Take a right turn on Chaney and follow the road until it dead ends at the trailhead. Park at trailhead and follow signs to campground.
