Angeles National Forest full closure to partial closure

Part of the Angeles National Forest is temporarily closed through December 31, 2025. under a new updated forest order dated January 29, 2025. The forest order (Eaton Fire Area Closure) covers only National Forest System roads, trails, and other facilities. These areas are closed for public safety and to facilitate recovery of nature across these landscapes.

Area Status: Closed

Elevation: 1,700-feet in elevation

Amenities: 3 picnic sites- picnic tables, no FS provided fire appliances. No toilets, No trash receptacles. Seasonal stream water (treat before using). However, water flow may be low or non-existent due to reduced rainfall. Please bring enough water for cooking, cleaning, drinking, and extinguishing campfires (when campfires are allowed). Pack it in - Pack it out!
 

Equestrian: 2 hitching rails, stream water may or may not be available so bring water for horses just in case

Hiking: Access to the Gabrielino National Recreation Trail

Operational Hours: Day use hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Reservations: Picnic sites are first come-first served. Reserving or holding of sites not allowed.
Permit Info: California Campfire Permit Required.
Usage: Light
Restrictions: Fire Restrictions are in effect. All backpack stoves and portable gas stoves must be put completely out before you leave the area.

Restroom: No
Passes: Adventure Pass/America the Beautiful Pass Required.
