Yankee Hill

  

The Yankee Hill area offers a network of OHV opportunities. The main route starting near Columbine Campground allows riders to unload near Bald Mtn Cemetery and continue on NFSR 273.2, to 175.1 and west to the town of Alice. Once in the Yankee Hill area there are more OHV opportunities on adjoining roads. Restrictions: All vehicles must be either street-legal or registered annually through Colorado State Parks' OHV Registration Program. All motorized vehicles are restricted to open routes designated for their use. Contact your local District Office for a copy of the local Motor Vehicle Use Map.

General Information

Directions:

From Denver, take 6th Ave West to state Highway 6, through clear Creek Canyon. Proceed north on State Highway 119, turn left on Gilpin County Road 279 (Gregory St. next to Bullwackers Casino) in Black Hawk, follow signs to Central City. Gregory St. changes to Lawrence St, at Central City limits, then changes to Eureka St. midway thru Central City. Proceed on Eureka St. until road turns to gravel, follow Forest Road 176.1 to 739.1 then north to 175.3.
