Access to Grand Lake Trail System from the Idleglen Staging Area includes the following trails: Beaver Line Trail M116, Blizzard Pass Trail M121, Bull Mountain Annex Trail M117.1, Bull Mountain Trail M117, Burn Trail M122, Camway Trail M113, Eagles Perch Trail M136, Gilsonite Trail M118, Illinois Pass Trail M25, Little Grave Bypass Trail M36, Lower Gilsonite Trail M115, Middle Supply Trail M123, North South Trail M126, North Supply Loop Trail M124, Sherman Creek Trail M50, Soda Pass Trail M120, Spruce Em UP Jack Trail M125, and Willow Pass Trail M110.
Snowmobiling
Idleglen is located 4 1/2 miles up County Road 4, off of U.S Highway 34. Snowmobiling is allowed when there is at least 6 " of snow and when such activity will not damage natural resources. Once conditions are met, the gates on the Stillwater Pass and Kawuneeche Roads will be opened to over-the-snow travel. The snowmobile season is generally between later December (when snow conditions are met) and April before the snow melts, but never before November 15th nor after June 15th. Snowmobiling is allowed in other areas of the Sulphur Ranger District. For more information, contact us.
