Pine Beach Picnic Site

This is a minimally developed picnic site on the shore of Shadow Mountain Reservoir in the Arapaho National Recreation Area. It is located near the islands in the reservoir where aquatic and other wildlife abound. Facilities include one restroom, picnic tables, and parking for about 10 vehicles.

Directions: From the intersection of U.S. Highway 40 and 34 in Granby, head north 12 miles to the Pine Beach turn off.

The land around Pine Beach reaches out into a shallow portion of Shadow Mt. Reservoir near the mouth of the Colorado River.

Hunting is allowed in the Arapaho National Recreation Area 150 yards or more from the Pine Beach Picnic Area boundary. Please see map for boundary details.
