The Middle Saint Vrain Road is seasonally closed just outside of Peaceful Valley Campground. Limited parking is available along the north side of the road (the south side is posted No Parking). Park so as to not block the gate, other traffic or private drives. Buchanan Pass Trail takes off to the left about 400 feet west of the gate. It hugs the north-facing side of the valley and as a result, retains snow better than the road. Middle Saint Vrain Road can also be a nice ski or snowshoe route, if there has been recent snow and if not too windy.Warming Shelters | none |
