Arapaho Pass Trail #6

The trail remains in the forest for the first 6 miles where campsites are limited due to steep slopes. The best camping sites are found 100 feet from the trail as it approaches Coyote Park. One can hike Arapaho Pass Trail up and over to the east side of the Continental Divide. The Arapaho Pass Trail intersects with Caribou Pass Trail, which can be taken to Lake Dorothy. The Caribou Pass Trail out of the Junco Lake Trailhead (Meadow Creek Reservoir) is a shorter and easier route to Arapaho Pass. An excellent hike, with the aid of a car shuttle, is from Meadow Creek Reservoir over Arapaho Pass to Monarch Lake.
