Trails End River Camp

Trails End is on the north side of the river on a small bench 10.0 miles below the dam and 2.8 miles below Little Hole.  The site has one table, one fire ring, one tent pad, portable toilet screen and two benches.  Site has a large Ponderosa pine and natural shade.  Capacity: 5 people. 

Hike in from Little Hole or boat in from the Spillway or Little Hole.  Sites are along the banks of the Green River on Section B, downstream from Little Hole.  Vegetation is Pinyon pine, juniper, sagebrush, Ponderosa pine and river bottom shrubs and grasses

 

Reservations may be by calling 1-877-444-6777 or reserve online at Recreation.gov.  All other sites are first come, first served.  Registration for campsite use must be made the day of use at Little Hole on the Camp Registration Board.

 

All campers are required to have a portable toilet system.  There are no garbage facilities.  Please pack out your garbage.

General Information

Directions:

From Vernal UT, take US Highway 191 north 45 miles. Cross the Flaming Gorge Dam and turn right on road leading to upper launch site at Spillway Boat Ramp. A second launch is 7 miles down the river at Little Hole Boat Ramp. Cross the dam and continue to the town of Dutch John. Turn right off Highway 191 and go east on Little Hole Road (Forest Road 075) about 6 miles. The site is 10 miles below Spillway and 3.3 miles below Little Hole. From Rock Springs, WY, take US Highway 191 south 63 miles. Just before crossing the dam, turn left on the road to Spillway Boat Ramp, or at the town of Dutch John, turn left off Highway 191 and go east on Little Hole Road (Forest Road 075) about 6 miles. The site is 10 miles below Spillway Boat Ramp and 3 miles below Little Hole.
