Buckboard Crossing Campground is located on the far northwest shore of Flaming Gorge Reservoir.
The campground is situated in a high desert landscape with sagebrush and a few scattered trees. Natural shade is minimal.
Campers are offered the convenience of an adjacent boat ramp, marina and fish cleaning station. Buckboard Marina has a boat ramp, boat rentals, fuel, slips, fishing licenses, bait and groceries. Non-campers can use the shower facilities for a small fee. A dump station and trash collection is located on-site.
Don't Move Firewood: Help prevent the spread of tree-killing pests in our national forests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site.
Nearby Attractions: Flaming Gorge Dam offers guided tours of the working hydroelectric plant and the dam itself The adjacent visitor center contains area history exhibits.

This campground does have some first come, first served sites. However, most sites can be reserved by calling 1-877-444-6777 (International 518-885-3639 or TDD 877-833-6777) or on-line at recreation.gov. |

Fees |
$20/night for a single unit and $28/night for a single electric site.
- Electricity is available at some sites for and an extra $8.00.
- Sanitation Station to all users $6.00
- Showers $4.00 fee for non-campers
The single site fee covers the cost of 1 vehicle. Each single site's maximum capacity is 2 vehicles. There will be an extra vehicle fee for the second vehicle collected on site. 2 vehicles = 1 sleeping unit (trailer, pop-up, pickup camper, RV, etc) + 1 passenger vehicle or 2 passenger vehicles. There is not room for 2 sleeping units. |

General Information
Directions: On Highway 530, travel 25 miles south from Green River, Wyoming. Go 2 miles east on Forest Road 009 to the campground, adjacent to Buckboard Marina.
Parking: All vehicles must fit on the designated parking spur.
