Delmoe Lake Campground and Picnic Area
Delmoe Lake Campground and Picnic area is located 15 miles from Whitehall and Butte in the Whitetail-Pipestone area - a popular destination for OHV riding. The lake is a man-made reservoir controlled by the Pipestone Water Users for irrigation near Whitehall.
The campground has 25 sites for trailer and tent camping. Maximum trailer length is 32 feet. Wood is generally able to be found within the campground area. Water and restrooms are available. The picnic area has tables and a boat launch primarily for fishing activities. The lake level will fluctuate during the summer season as the water is used for irrigation.

The campground is typically open the Friday before Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
Directions:
From Butte take I-90 east to the Homestake exit (no. 233) and turn left off the ramp. Continue north on Forest Service Road #222 (Delmoe Lake Road) for approximately 10 miles. Turn left onto Forest Service Road #9371 and continue for approximately 0.5 miles. The road is a gravel road suitable for passenger vehicle access. Watch for ATVs, motorcycles, and other OHVs on the road.

Off-highway vehicle enthusiasts can find fun and excitement at the nearby Whitetail-Pipestone Area. The area boasts miles of OHV routes that provide a challenge to both novice and experienced riders. the Whitetail-Pipestone Motorized Recreation Visitor Map provides information on the many routes open for OHV riding on National Forest and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands. Maps are available at the Butte Ranger District, Butte Field Office of the BLM, and various businesses in Whitehall, Boulder, and Butte.
