The cabin was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps around 1919. It was used as an administrative site until the 1940's when it was opened to the public. It is situated in a meadow and forested setting in the northern Fleecer Mountains. It is a popular spot for summer activities and hunting during the fall big game hunting season. The cabin has one bedroom that will sleep four. There is an outhouse; water is available from an adjacent creek. Horse facilities are available at the cabin. Firewood is not always available at the cabin but can be found nearby.
