Dead Swede Picnic Ground is named for the gentleman buried there. The picnic ground is located east of U.S. Highway 14, the Bighorn Scenic Byway. The South Tongue River and numerous streams flow nearby - an excellent spot for anglers.

Directions:

From Dayton, take US 14 west for about 40.2 miles to Tie Flume/Dead Swede and Forest System Road (FSR) 26 signs. Turn left onto FSR 26 and go about 4.7 miles.  Picnic ground is on the left.
