Situated on the banks of Ranger Creek, Ranger Creek Recreation Area is a group site that can accommodate up to 150 people for overnight camping or day use picnicking. A shelter, campfire ring, grill, vault toilet, drinking water, and trash collection are provided. Reservations are required to use this site. Nearby attractions are hiking trails, trout fishing, and Shell Falls Interpretive Site, located about eight miles west on U.S. Highway 14, the Bighorn Scenic Byway.

Directions:

From Greybull, WY, take US 14 east for about 32 miles to Forest System Road (FSR) 17 sign. Turn right at sign onto FSR 17 and go about 3 miles.  Look for the campground sign.

Rental info: Group site has a covered shelter with 3 picnic tables.  There is also 3 double family sized tables, one large grill, a group fire ring, 2 horseshoe pits and an open ball field.
