Adjacent to Spearfish Creek
Hanna Campground is adjacent to the spruce-lined east Spearfish Creek and has 13 sites available during the regular season. The campground is within the Spearfish Canyon management area, but not located directly within the Canyon proper. There are walk-in tent sites that are open and available year-round. Sites are spread across a wide meadow with a pine-covered mountain surrounding. This is a scenic and peaceful place to camp. Reservations are not available for Hanna Campground. Sites are available first come, first served. The Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway begins north of the campground at State Rt. 14A. There are limited groceries and gas at Cheyenne Crossing, north of the campground.

Directions: From Lead, SD, take US Highway 85 south 7.6 miles to Hanna campground sign (just beyond Cheyenne Crossing). Turn left at sign and go 2.2 miles to campground.Activities
