Overview:

Silver Creek Campground is located 25 miles north of Garden Valley, Idaho, in beautiful Peace Valley at an elevation of 4,490 feet. Peace Valley offers great trail opportunities. Fishing and hunting are popular activities as well.

Natural Features:

The campground is situated among a mixed-growth lodgepole pine forest, which provides partial shade. Silver Creek runs alongside the campground.

A variety of wildlife makes its home in and around Peace Valley, including deer, elk, bald eagles and red-tailed hawks.

Recreation:

Peace Valley contains many trails for hiking, mountain biking, horseback and ATV riding. Peace Creek Trail, Silver Creek Summit Trail and Bull Creek Trail all begin nearby.

Silver Creek, Peace Creek and the nearby Middle Fork Payette River offer good-to-excellent fishing most of the year. Anglers in the area cast for whitefish and rainbow trout.

In-season big game hunting for deer, elk and bear is a popular activity in the surrounding mountains.

Nearby Attractions:

Silver Creek Plunge, a privately developed hot springs resort, is within a quarter-mile from the campground. It offers a hot springs pool, general store, concessions, volleyball and basketball courts, playground and horseshoe pits.

Fees This is a fee campground. Fee envelopes and a collection box are provided near the entrance.  Please bring cash or check.  57 sites / $15.00 single-overnight.  $30.00- double overnight. Two group sites $150.00 per night.  First come, first serve sites may be available.  Extra vehicle fee of $5.00 may apply.

Facilities:

There are 57 accessible sites with a capacity of 8 people per unit.  Units can accomodate an RV length of up to 50 feet.  Each site is equipped with a tent pad, picnic and utility tables and a campfire ring. There are two group sites.  The lodgepole Springs group site can accomodate up to 80 people, while the Cabin Creek group site can accomodate up to 100 people.  Each group site contains picnic shelters, multiple tables, campfire rings, grills and ample parking. There is a private resort an hot springs pool near the campground.  

General Information

Directions:

From Boise, Idaho, travel north on State Highway 55 to Banks, Idaho. Turn east on the (Banks-Lowman Road) State Highway 17 and continue east for 8 miles toward Garden Valley, Idaho.

Turn left/north on (Middle Fork Payette Road) Forest Service (FS) Road 698 and pass through Crouch, Idaho.

Proceed north on the FS Road 698 approximately 16 miles to (Silver Creek Road) FS Road 671.

Turn northeast on FS Road 671 and continue 8 miles to the campground.
