The non-motorized Wewukiye Trail (pronounced “Wawookia” and means ‘elk’ in Nez Perce language) is near Warm Lake.

This is a newly created 17 mile trail that volunteers helped initiate in 2011.

There are seven sections of trail.  Some are still under construction.  Access points include Shoreline Campground and Tyndall Trailhead. (Lattitude and Longitude are at the Tyndall Trailhead - Forest Service Road 252 Section E).

Other sections of the trail include:  252A04, B, C, D, E, F and G.  Refer to your Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) for more details about the locations of the segments and open and closed areas.
