Peace Creek Trail
Peace Creek Trail - The Peace Creek Trail crosses several tiny creeks that feed onto Peace Creek where, in spring, wildflowers such as arnica, lupine and sticky geranium carpet the meadows.
About 2.5 miles from the trailhead, the trail steeply ascends a dry southern slope.
To the north, granite boulders provide scenic views in three directions. The trail levels, then ascends steeply once again through ponderosa pine forests and sagebrush hillsides.
The steeper sections of the trail offer views of Peace Rock and the surrounding mountains and valleys. Once the trail reaches a ridge, it levels and skirts the ridge's west side.
The trail ends in a prominent saddle that offers views of the mountain ranges to the west. In the saddle the Peace Creek Trail is intersected by the Boiling Springs driveway which branches east and connects with the Tranquil Basin Trail.
The driveway is signed about a quarter east of its intersection with the Peace Creek Trail. Equestrians and trail bike riders should use extreme caution on the eroded, unstable and steep portions of the trail.
Although the Tranquil Basin Trail and the Peace Creek Trail are linked by the Boiling Springs driveway, the Tranquil Basin Trail is open yearlong to non-motorized use while the Peace Creek Trail is open yearlong to motorized use.

General Information
General Notes:The Peace Creek Trailhead is a three-acre signed site with restroom and a loading/unloading ramp for animals. (The ramp however is in poor condition).
The trailhead serves Habit Creek (#026 in Lowman RD), Peace Creek (#026 in Emmett RD) and Devil’s Slide (#034) trail.
It is located near Peace Valley and Silver Creek Campgrounds.
Directions:
From Boise, Idaho travel approximately 35 miles to Banks, Idaho along State Hwy 55. Turn right and proceed east on the (Banks- Lowman Highway) State Highway 17 approximately 10 miles to the Crouch turnoff.
Go north through Crouch on a paved road which becomes (Middle Fork Payette River Road) Forest Service (FS) Road 698.
Continue north on FS Road 698 for about 12 miles to the intersection of FS Road 671.
Proceed northeast on FS Road 671 about 8 miles to the trail directional sign and park at the trailhead sign.
Ford Silver Creek, then parallel Peace Creek on a short road for a quarter mile. The road ends near a registration box and Peace Creek trailhead begins.

Mountain Biking
Mountain Biking - This single-track motorized use trail is in the Silver Creek drainage that is shared by the Emmett and Lowman districts. Intermediate mountain bikers will enjoy the nearly 9 mile long, one-way, trail that crosses several tiny creeks that feed into Peace Creek. About 2.5 miles from the trailhead, the trail steeply ascends a dry southern slope. To the north granite boulders provide scenic views in three directions.
The trail levels, and then ascends steeply once again through ponderosa pine forests and sagebrush hillsides. The steeper sections of the trail offer views of Peace Rock and the surrounding mountains and valleys. To get there, take Forest Road 671 to about a mile north of Silver Creek Campground to the trailhead.
