Green Creek Trail

Mountain Home - Green Creek Trail 270

Green Creek Trail is currently closed - The lower trailhead is easily accessible from the Dog Creek Campground.

The first 0.1 mile from this trailhead crosses private property so be sure to stay within the trail corridor.

This trail is suitable for all summer uses, however, some of the fords are 1-2 feet deep and motorbikes should use caution.

The trail crosses a small tributary of Green Creek shortly after the trail junction.

The trail remains on the north side of Green Creek, until it fords the creek to the south side at 0.8 miles.

The trail crosses back to the north side of the creek at 1.1 miles through a large ford that runs down the trail for approximately 50 feet.

At 1.8 miles, the trail crosses a small side stream, and at 2.4 miles a small stream runs down the trail for 75 feet. At 3.1 miles the trail fords Green Creek twice in quick succession.

The first ford has a log upstream which can be used to cross the creek. The second ford must be waded.

At 4.5 miles, the trail reaches the Forest boundary and the private landowner has posted ""private property, keep out"" signs.

The trail skirts the private property by staying close to the creek and at 4.6 miles, the trail ends at the road fording of Green Creek.
