Bear Creek / Warm Lake Trail

  

A memorial plaque to firefighters

Bear Creek Trail  / Warm Lake Trail is Forest Trail #105 and  begins off of  Forest Highway 22 (Warm Lake Highway), 2 miles west of Warm Lake; or off Forest Service (FS) Road 470,  just southeast of Tule Lake. 

The trail traverses along the southeast side of Warm Lake.

For mountain bikers the trail is rated intermediate because of its technical nature. 

The difficulty however is rewarded with lovely views of the south end of Warm Lake as you head toward Landmark.

The single-track trail is also open to motorcycles. This trail can be ridden out and back or as a longer loop-ride by connecting with FS Road 427 and Forest Highway 22.

General Information

Directions:

From Boise, Idaho, travel approximately 80 miles north on State Highway 55 to Cascade, Idaho. 

From Cascade, Idaho, travel 1 mile north on State Highway 55 to the Forest Highway 22 (Warm Lake Highway) turnoff. 

Proceed along Forest Highway 22 to Warm Lake approximately 25 miles.


General Notes:

The Bear Creek / Warm Lake Trailhead is a one-acre site with an information kiosk and a memorial trail marker in honor of fallen wildland firefighters.
