Sweetwater Trailhead is located approximately 70 miles from Pinedale and it the southernmost of Bridger Wilderness trailheads. This trailhead receives low use, is more primitive and has no facilities. It offers access to the Sweetwater Gap Trail and the Little Sandy Trail. Access is first by paved road then gravel.

General Information
Directions: From the Town of Pinedale, Wyoming, head south on United States Highway 191 (US-191) for about 12 miles, then turn left on Wyoming State Highway 353 (WY-353) and drive approximately 15.5 miles where WY-353 transitions into Big Sandy-Elkhorn Road/Country Road 118. Continue for another 12 miles and then make a left turn onto Lander Cutoff Road/County Road 132 (CR-132). Follow for CR-132 for 16.8 miles and make a left turn onto Sweetwater Gap Road. Follow Sweetwater Gap Road for 8 miles, stay left at the first and second forks, and then upon entering the Bridger-Teton National Forest the road name changes to Station Creek/Forest Service Road 370890. Continue for an additional 2 miles for access to Sweetwater Trailhead at the end of the road. Approximate travel details from the Town of Pinedale: 66 miles, 1 hour and 30 minutes.
