Trail Highlights:
- This trail leaves the Granite Cr Trail from a high alpine area. The junctions are signed and can be taken either from going up the Granite Cr Trail, or after coming over the pass from Flat Cr. The trail winds through the alpine with stunning views of the surrounding peaks and the Granite Cr drainage. It finally reaches the lake and drops down to the lakeside.
Options:
- This trail has two access points. There are no other loop options off of this trail as it is basically just a connector to the lake. Loop options exist with other trails in this area such as the Granite Cr Trail, the Flat Cr Trail, or the Cache Cr Trail.
Important Information
- All of the Turquoise Lake Trail is located within the Gros Ventre Wilderness and is not open to motorized or mechanized vehicles. The wilderness boundary exists just past the kiosk and is signed. Please respect the wilderness and practice leave no trace ethics.
- This trail is located on USGS quad maps for Turquoise Lake, 7.5 minute.
- Always check the posted information at the kiosks for maps, updated material on forest regulations and closures.
