Paint Creek Campground

Looking for a family-oriented campground tucked away in a mountain cove? Paint Creek Campground, located in Greene County along the banks of Paint Creek is the place! Most of the widely-spaced campsites have streamside views and are well screened with native vegetation. While visiting, try your hand at fishing for trout in Paint Creek (seasonally stocked).

Operational Hours: Closed for 2023 season.   Please practice Bearwise and make sure to store ALL unattended food and garbage in a hardsided container or vehicle.   2024 Season Dates: May 1 - October 24

  • Group size is 5 people, 2 vehicles per site.
  • No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the area.
  • Food storage restrictions apply at all areas on the Cherokee National Forest. All food and beverages must be stored in an approved bear-proof container, your locked vehicle or hard-sided camper at all times unless being eaten, prepared, or transported.

Directions:

From Greeneville, take TN 70 south for 11.2 miles, turn fight on Rollins Chapel Road and then follow the signs to Paint Creek.

Campground Camping

Paint Creek Campground offers camping opportunities for tents and RVs.  Most sites can accommodate trailers and RVs that are 45-50 feet.
