Lost Corral Horse Camp

Located at the entrance to the Starr Mountain and Chestnut Mountain Horse Trails, this campground features 20 roomy campsites, each with a picnic table, fire ring, lantern post and horse hitching area (high line). The sites accommodate up to five people and 2 vehicles. There is a public water supply and vault toilet facilities.

  • Food storage restrictions apply at all areas on the Cherokee National Forest. All food and beverages must be stored in an approved bear-proof container, your locked vehicle or hard-sided camper at all times unless being eaten, prepared, or transported.
  • Maximum of 5 people and 2 vehicles at each site.

General Information

Directions: From Hwy. 64/411 intersection go north on 411 approximately 12 miles, turn right at the Gee Creek Campground sign. Go approximately 1 mile, turn left just past the State Park Office, cross the railroad tracks, campground is to the left.
