Kings Slough Boat Launch

Area Status: Open

Kings Slough is a fairly shallow boat launch providing access to the western side of Parksville Lake. It has ample parking for boat trailers and individual vehicles, a vault toilet, and a boating dock. Parksville Lake has bass, trout, blue gill, catfish, yellow perch and crappie. Campsites are dispersed along the lake shore.

Parksville Beach and Mac Point are two popular swimming areas located on the opposite side of the lake. Parksville Lake Campground is located north of the lake on Hwy. 30, and hiking trails are available at Chilhowee Recreation area.

General Information


From the Ocoee Ranger Station turn right onto Highway 64 and travel 4.8 miles to County Road 2330 (Cookson Creek Rd.). Turn left and travel 3.4 miles to Forest Service Road 55A. Turn left and travel 0.4 mile to the boat ramp on the right.
