Porcupine Campground


Area Status: Open

There are 34 campsites $23/night. A non-refundable fee will be added to each reservation by Recreation.gov

The Gull Rock Trailhead, completed in 2012, is accessed from the Hope Highway on the signed road before the entrance to the campground.

Reservations: Reservations are made through Recreation.gov (1-877-444-6777) and recommended for summer camping. Fees are charged during the summer season. Reservations may be made up to180 days prior to your desired arrival date in the summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day in September).

General Information

Directions:

Travel south on the Seward Highway and turn onto the Hope Highway at Milepost 56.7. The campground is located at Milepost 17.8 off the Hope Highway.

Area consists mostly of birch forest, Turnagain Arm overlooks.


General Notes:

Opportunities include hiking and a spectacular view of Turnagain Arm. The campground is located near the Gull Rock Trail and Hope Point Trail.
