Vagt Lake Trail - INHT

The Vagt Lake Trail is a segment of the longer Iditarod National Historic Trail (INHT).

This moderate trail (1.6 miles one way or 4.2 mile loop) is well-maintained, level foot path (194 foot elevation gain), with gradual grades. If you are doing the loop the grades get steeper and shorter on the Iditarod National Historic Trail segment.

Vagt Lake Trail and INHT are closed to saddle/pack stock from April 1- June 30 and closed to motorized vehicles from May 1-November 30. Crown Point Mine Trail is open to motorized vehicls year round to the mine at mile 5.7.
