The new Cabin at Crow Pass

*Not recommended for winter use due to extreme avalanche danger* This cabin is closed in the winter and not available for use.

A 16-foot A-frame cabin with loft.

Sleeps 6, table, outhouse. Not included: running water, electricity, mattress or bedding, cooking utensils, stove fuel. A Stove was installed in the new cabin that burns either Kerosene or Diesel #1 and burns approximatel 1 gallon per 12 hours period. Stove Fuel is not provided.

Cabin is near Crow Pass in the Chugach Mountains, 3 miles from the Crow Pass Trailhead and is located 500 yards East of the Trail and the old cabin site. Conditions may require travel over deep snow in the spring and a shallow water crossing in the summer to access the cabin via the Crow Creek Trail.

Outhouse is for use by reserved cabin guests only.

Current Conditions: Please be advised that EXTREME avalanche conditions exist along this trail once the snow begins to fall. Travel is not recommended throughout the winter months.

General Information

Directions:

At Mile 90, Seward Highway (35 miles south of Anchorage) turn north onto paved road leading to Mt. Alyeska Resort. After 2 miles turn left onto Crow Creek Road. Trailhead is at end of road (6 miles). Refer to USGS map, Anchorage A6.
