Williwaw Nature Trail

Area Status: Open

The Williwaw Nature Trail begins at the Williwaw Fish Viewing Platform, passes under the highway bridge and follows Williwaw Creek to a series of ponds.

The trail winds around the ponds, crosses Portage Glacier Road and continues south another 1/2 mile to connect to the Trail of Blue Ice. From the Trail of Blue Ice you can continue east to the Begich, Boggs Visitor Center or west to loop back to where you started.

To get back to the Williwaw Fish Viewing Platform you will need to proceed through Williwaw Campground. This a good trail to view or photograph wildlife.
