Mineral Lake Campground will remain closed for the 2018 camping season. This closure impacts the campground - the boat ramp will remain open. Beaver Lake Campground, East Twin lake Campground and Day Lake Campground are other Forest Service campgrounds near Mineral Lake. Mineral Lake Campground is located on the 256-acre Mineral Lake, approximately 10 miles west of Mellen, on County Highway GG. It has 12 campsites, each including a parking spur, fire ring, picnic table and tent pad. The campsites can accommodate RV's up to 30 feet. Drinking water and vault toilets are available. Mineral Lake offers musky, bass, walleye, and panfish. Eagle watching is a favorite activity on this lake. A picnic area and boat launch are located one mile north on Forest Road 187.
