Black Lake Campground

If you are looking for solitude then this is the campground for you. Black Lake has 26 drive in campsites and 3 walk-in sites. Each site has a fire grate and picnic table and can accommodate RV's up to 45 feet . Most campsites have a level surface. Water pumps, accessible vault toilets, two boat ramps, a swimming beach, and picnic area are also available. Campsites may be reserved through a campground reservation system. Black Lake has a 4-mile interpretive trail that follows the wooded shoreline.

General Information


From County B, turn north onto Barker Lake Road and drive 4.7 miles to intersection with Fishtrap Road. Continue straight on FR172 for three miles, turn left (north) onto FR 173. Go 0.4 miles and turn right (east) on the paved campground road (FR1666).
From Highway GG, turn onto FR 172 and drive 4.5 miles to FR173. Turn right (north) on FR 173 and drive 0.4 miles to the paved campground road (FR1666).
