Lakeview Campground

Area Status: Open

Lakeview Campground is located near Upper Lake Mary with easy access to the water via the Wood Memorial Trail (0.5 miles) or by car. Many other lakes such as Ashurst Lake, Kinnikinick Lake, Marshall Lake, and Lower Lake Mary are within easy driving distance, as are many hiking trails, including the Arizona Trail. The lakes are stocked with a variety of fish including trout, bass, and channel catfish. Upper Lake Mary is also popular with power boaters and there is currently no motor size limit (most other lakes in the area have an 10 horsepower motor size limit).

Lakeview Campground is a tent camper’s paradise with its terraced, hillside camp sites creatively tucked in amongst an open old growth stand of ponderosa pine. With all the easy forest and lake access, this is a also great place for wildlife watchers. Many visitors report seeing bald eagle, osprey, migratory waterfowl, great blue heron, elk, and mule deer.

Fees:	Campsite: $26 per night, up to eight people with one vehicle. 15 sites are reservable/15 sites are first come. Second vehicle per night: $10 additional. Picnic/day use (10 a.m to 4 p.m.): $8 up to 5 people. Senior and Access Interagency passes are accepted for a 50% discount on single-site camping fees. Other Interagency passes are not accepted.

Facilities: 30 single unit sites. Tables, fire rings and cooking grills, drinking water, three accessible vault type toilets. Boat ramp at lakes. Universal access fishing at Lake Mary Narrows Picnic Area. Wood Memorial Trail (universal access) links Lakeview Campground with Lake Mary Narrows Picnic Area. Trash service for pay campers only. Host on site. Space is usually available for slide-outs.

Notes:

Tents and small motor homes are permitted. RVs and trailers under 28 feet can be accommodated in some sites.
No utility hookups.
Pets must always be restrained or on a leash.
No horses allowed in the campground.
Only street-legal motorbikes/ATVs may be used for entering or leaving campsite.
14 day stay limit.
Campground roads and spurs are gravel.
