North Wilson Trail No. 123

The North Wilson Trail is a cooler route to the Wilson Mountain Trail. It starts just north of Encinoso Picnic Area, three miles up canyon from Midgley Bridge. The two trails join at a point midway up the mountain.

At the top you'll be rewarded with views that stretch over hundreds of square miles of scenic canyon country and include Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona, Coffee Pot Rock, Capitol Butte, Sterling Canyon and the Verde Valley.

Directions:

Location: West side of Oak Creek Canyon, north of Sedona, Arizona. Trailhead is at Encinoso Picnic Area.

Access: Drive south from Flagstaff about 20 miles or north from Sedona for about 5 miles on SR 89A. Watch for roadside signs for Encinoso Picnic Area.
