This 3.2 mile mostly wooded trail opens to a ridge with panoramic views of Kettle Crest, the Pend Oreille Valley, and the Columbia River Valley. Seasonal huckleberries. Limited dispersed camping. Variable weather. Layered clothing and survival kit suggested. Contour maps recommended if traveling off the trail.

Turn right onto Deep Lake Boundary Rd continue for 7.3 miles. Turn right onto Silver Creek Rd for 1.9 miles. Slight left onto NF-7078 continue for 4.1 miles. Turn left to stay on NF-7078 continue for 0.2 miles. Turn right onto NF-300 continue for 0.8 miles. NF-300 turns slighty left continue for 2.3 miles to trailhead.
