Trout Lake Campground

This small campground has private tent sites close to the lake with access to a fishing dock. There is a small boat launch and the lake is noncombustible motors only. The campground also hosts the Hoodoo Canyon Trail #17 Trail Head.  This is a 4.7 mile hiking trail that also intersects the Emerald Lake #94  hiking trail . Wildlife has been seen frequently at the lake which includes moose and whitetail deer. This area is frequently used by fisherman, hikers and hunters.

  • Dock 8x24 feet with 3 foot wide ramp. (Please note this is not wheel chair accessible.)

Current Conditions: Overnight use within the campground is allowed. Toilet will not be cleaned and will remain closed. Access to Hoodoo Canyon Trail is closed for reconstruction in 2020.

General Information


From Kettle Falls, WA:  Head west on US-395 N for approximately 3.7 miles.  Turn left onto WA-20 W for 5.2 miles. Turn right onto Trout Lake Rd (Forest Road 020) and continue for 5.1 mile to Trout Lake.
