Dukes Creek Falls is conveniently located on the Russell-Brasstown National Scenic Highway. The area offers a moderate hiking trail and exceptional scenery with panoramic views to the distinguished Mount Yonah.

Fees: $4 per Vehicle/day, Senior and Acess passes are accepted, please put you pass number on the envelope before putting it in the fee box. Pay by cash, check, OR  Pay for your activity pass at Dukes Creek Falls Day Use with the Recreation.gov Mobile App. Log in to your Recreation.gov account through the mobile app and scan the QR code at the area.  Follow the on-screen instructions. If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to create one to use Scan & Pay. Please have your proof of payment available for review upon request.

Activities

Day Hiking

Dukes Creek Foot Trail - The trailhead for this 1.25-mile trail is at the  parking lot providing visitors to a scenic hike down to the observation deck overlooking Dukes Creek and the waterfalls. The round trip is 2.5 miles. Plan about an hour to hike down,  enjoy the scenery, and hike back.

The first 1/10 mile of the is accessible by people who need to use a wheel chair and leads to a viewing deck so everyone can get view of the waterfalls.

Viewing Scenery

Dukes Creek Falls Recreation Area offers jaw-dropping panoramic views of Mount Yonah, the Raven Cliffs Wilderness and much of the North Georgia Mountains.

Picnicking

Dukes Creek Recreation Area offers 4 sites with picnic tables, grills and trash cans. It also provides designated paved parking for up to 30 vehicles.
