Frady Branch Equestrian and Bike Trail System

Area Status: Temporarily Closed

While the 14.5-mile Frady Branch Trail System is a popular place among horse back riders, the trails are also open to mountain bicycle riders (no eBikes allowed) and hikers. Four loops provide opportunities for different experiences on the trail system.. The parking area has separate sections for horse trailers and passenger vehicles.

Fees: There is a $5 per/user/per day special recreation fee for anyone entering this recreation area, regardless if any amenities are used during the visit. There is a $25 per year per user pass that can be purchased at the District Office in Lakemont. Call 706-754-6221 for more information.

Restrictions: Reminder to hunters no hunting within the 450 feet of the parking area, it is not part of the WMA, it is a developed recreation site with occupied structures.

Passes: The USDA Forest Service offices carry a $25 per user per year pass that can be used at this site and others listed on the back of the pass. No other passes accepted at this site.

From Gainesville, GA
Take GA-365 N/US-23 N for 28.7 miles.
Follow signs towards Toccoa and Lavonia onto GA-365 N/US-123 and go 6.3 miles GA-184 S/.
Turn right onto GA-184 S/Dicks Hill Parkway and go 0.3 mile.
Turn left onto GA-184 S  (Homer Highway) and go 2.8 miles to the Frady Branch entrance on the right.
