Dry Creek Equestrian Trailhead


Area Status: Open

The Dry Creek Trail system offers 26 miles of hiking, biking, and horseback riding awsomeness. The trailhead provides an accessible horse spur and bathroom facilities. Gravel parking for 30 horse trailer rigs.

Current Conditions: The parking lot is day use only:  NO OVERNIGHT CAMPING in the parking lot. 
Fees: Recreation Fee for Specialized Trail System $5/Vehicle/day
Open Season: Open year-round
Closest Towns: The closest towns are Lafayette and Dalton, GA, where there are numerous grocery stores and gas stations.

Restroom: Vault Toilet
Passes: Annual Forest Pass is available for $25, which will cover parking for a year.  May be purchased at the Conasauga Ranger District office in person, by mail with a check, or by phone with a credit/debit card.

Directions:

Take Exit 320 on I-75; follow State Highway 136 west about 14 miles to Villanow, Ga. At the intersection with Highway 201, turn left onto East Armuchee Road (County Road 705) and go about 7 miles. Just past the signed Manning Mill Road, turn left onto Forest Road 226 and follow the signs to the Dry Creek Trailhead.
