Buck Point Trail (#439)
This short but steep trail begins at Eagle Creek Campground between Site #5 and #6. It ends under the BPA powerlines with a view of the Columbia River. Perfect for campground visitors, it could also be accessed from nearby Eagle Creek Day Use Area by walking up the winding drive to the campground.

General Information
Directions:The trail begins at Eagle Creek Campground between Site #5 and #6
From Portland, OR: Travel east on Interstate 84 to exit #41 which is just past the interstate tunnel. Take a right at the end of the off ramp and park in the Eagle Creek recreation area. Hke up the Gorge #400 trail or up the campground access road. The trail begins between sites #5 and #6 of the campground. Please do not park in the campground unless you are a paying camper.
From Cascade Locks, OR: Travel west on Interstate 84 approximately 3 miles to Bonneville Dam exit #40 (there is no westbound exit #41). Turn left at the stop sign, go under the interstate and then turn immediately left onto the eastbound freeway entrance. Travel east approximately 1 mile on Interstate 84 to exit #41 which is just past the interstate tunnel. Take a right at the end of the off ramp and park in the recreation area. Walk up the Gorge #400 trail or up the campground access road. The trail begins in site #5 of the campground. Please do not park in the campground unless you are a paying camper.
Parking:
Park in the recreation area, not the campground, unless you are a paying camper. Please park only in designated parking spots and obey all No Parking markings and signs.
Activities
Day Hiking
This trail ties into the Gorge Trail #400 for more extensive hiking opportunities. The main draw is the view from atop Buck Point.
Viewing Scenery
At 0.6 miles there is a viewpoint on the east edge of Eagle Creek Canyon.
